Little Lives UK is a proud longstanding charity and we are passionate about providing support and opportunities to disabled or disadvantaged children locally. As an organisation, our whole aim though is to identify and reach out to children who are in these particular circumstances. With your help, we can help end child poverty and improve the lives of children throughout London. Here at Little Lives UK campaigns, we raise funds to ensure that activities and outreach support is available for these children. We give money to community centres, contact centres, children’s homes and many more. Thanks to the generosity of the London community we have already been able to make a difference to the lives of some children that live in the city and we want to continue to do so. Within our store, we sell both adults and children’s apparel, as well as other accessories, shoes and handbags. By operating two different shops, we are not only able to raise funds by selling unwanted items, but we also have an ideal location for those to visit and hear more about our work.
In May 2018, we raised money for Makaton training courses. Makaton is a language programme similar to sign language that is designed to give individuals who cannot communicate efficiently by speaking a means of communication. The money raised helped to fund training programmes at the Band Foundation and individuals were taught language and literacy skills that will help them to lead normal, functioning lives. Your money has helped give children a voice – which is something we are very proud of as one of the hardest working children’s charities in London.
As a charity, we truly believe that donating clothes and time is just as valuable as money. We have two charity shops in South West London and always welcome new donations and volunteers. Customers are welcome to donate the clothes straight to one of our stores, though we also run weekly clothes collection services, where our team will visit your home and collect the items from you directly.
