March update
We have had a busy few weeks at Little Lives UK. We are coming to the end of our current campaign and will update you soon on how we have been able to help the Contact Centre with the amazing work that they do for the children and families who attend. We were contacted by a year 2 class at Gainsborough primary school in Hackney. Ms Vanderkar and her Year 2, Bullfinches class, had completed a project on homelessness and wanted to help children who were not as fortunate as them. The school was not in our collections area, but how could we say no to such a thoughtful group of children! The only request made by the Bullfinches, was that they wanted the coats they had donated to be given directly to other children, which we are currently organising.
Little Lives UK have received a donation of new mannequins for our shops and they will be going on display in April. We are really excited and hope you all pop in to have a look at the new display windows which will be kindly put together by a volunteer who has many years of experience in visual merchandising! We are currently contacting companies to try and source wigs for our mannequins so fingers crossed….
Our volunteer page has been updated and is worth checking out if you have an interest in volunteering with a charity that is focused on supporting and changing the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children in London.
