Little Lives Charity supports families in England and around the Globe with a seriously ill child,

However, there are thousands of children who could benefit from your support.

Anyone who has a little time to spare and would like to use it to benefit a charity can be a volunteer

in our shop.

What does volunteering involve?

You may be asked to sort donations, price goods, work on a till, create window displays and

distribute donation bags in our or your local area.

It could likewise be an awesome experience for school leavers or the unemployed to gain valuable experience

and to learn new skills in a different field.

Volunteer Social Media Assistants

Our ideal assistants are reliable, enthusiastic, good with accuracy and passionate about what they do.

Key responsibilities:

Promoting Little Lives UK online within Little Lives UK standards

Writing engaging posts for each of our social media platforms

Find ways to increase our social media following

Engage with our followers

Take great photos for posts

Answer customer service queries

Skills and competencies:

Moderate knowledge and understanding of Facebook, Twitter & Instagram

Good communication skills

Basic research skills

Basic photography & IT skills

Honesty, reliability, and ability to work from home

An interest in charity retail, sustainable fashion & social media

Ability to follow instructions

Attention to detail

Ideally, we’d like it if you can commit to a minimum of one shift per week (4 hours) but we are flexible on this.

Due to the nature of the role, the work required from home.

Stock Generation Volunteer

Use your creativity and people skills to help increase donations to Little Lives UK.

Could you picture a community? If you could lead the way in networking with local businesses and attract donations of beautiful things that we can sell in our shop, join Little Lives UK as a volunteer stock generator.

Working with the shop team you could support an employee donation drive, arrange publicity to encourage individual’s donations and do a bag drop and collection in your street. This will be a rewarding challenge to an individual with confidence in communicating with people at all levels and good presentation skills.

Become a part of our stock campaigns and get the local community involved in our stock events. All the stock which people like you generate helps us provide funding to support disabled children and their families.

As a stock generator, you will use your local knowledge to raise awareness of our stock requirements with local businesses, make appointments to meet prospective donors, and maintain excellent relationships with our existing contacts.

As part of this role you will be:

-Promoting stock campaigns in your community

-Giving out donation bags in your community.

-Arranging collections of stock donations.

-Contacting local businesses for surplus stock.

-Supporting stock events.

Preferred skills and attributes:

-No experience need it just the right attitude and passion for making a difference for children`s life

-Experience in a sales role would be beneficial.

-Confident and outgoing

-Have an understanding of the importance of stock donations to the overall business aims

Volunteer grammar and spelling checker for Charity

Volunteer Blog Writer/ Social Media

Home based

Little Lives Charity is looking for a highly motivated, organized and enthusiastic volunteer to handle our social media, write blog posts and general admin required to help get our  charity out there and get noticed!

This position would suit anyone of all ages (18+) that is either looking for a voluntary role for the next 6 months or someone who has a background in social media (Media graduates welcome!) Or a keen content writer.

In return, we can offer you written references, credited published work on our site and a warm good feeling.

As a Blogger you would be looking after:

  • Content creation – writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels
  • Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and other strategically relevant online properties
  • Events and event planning – attending industry events in your city
