Sign up for a Gift Aid
If you are a UK Tax payer we can reclaim the tax from any donation that you make to us. That means that for every £1 you donate we can claim an extra 25 pence from the government.
All you need to do is complete the gift aid declaration form.
If you are a higher rate tax payer you can also claim further tax relief on the remainder of the tax you have paid on your donation. You can choose to donate this money to us too. The HMRC website provides more information on how to claim.
I am a UK taxpayer and would like all my current and future donations and any donations I’ve made over the last for years to the Little Lives UK to be treated as Gift Aid donations unless I notify the Little Lives UK otherwise.*
*Please note, that as a Little Lives UK Gift Aid donor you have confirmed that:
You are a UK taxpayer. We should contact you to advice you how much we have raised from the sale of your goods, once sufficient items have been sold, before we can claim the 25% Gift Aid. You have or will pay an amount of UK income or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that all charities and CASCs (Community Amateur Sports Clubs) that you donate to will reclaim on your donations in the appropriate tax year (6 April one year to 5 April next). If you have not paid sufficient income tax or capital gains tax to cover the Gift Aid being claimed on your donations, you may need shortfall of tax to HM Revenue and Customs. Other taxes like VAT and council tax do not qualify. You are not acting as a business in bringing goods in for sale to any Little Lives UK shop. The goods which you are offering to us are your as your agent in offering your goods for sale, at a charge of 1% commission plus VAT.
Any goods which cannot be sold will be recycled where possible and cannot be returned to the donor.
** It’s possible to then retain these funds for yourself, or to continue with your donation and help the Little Lives UK campaigns.
