Our Ambassadors
Little Lives UK’s ambassadors are part of our incredible support network that help our director and trustees by promoting our work, campaigns and aims as widely as possible and encouraging people to support what we do.
Our ambassadors are inspirational and hard working individuals who are committed to helping children in the UK who are living with disability or are living in difficult or challenging circumstances.
Chris JM Martin
Intelligence researcher – Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse team
Chris JM Martin is an Intelligence Researcher for the Metropolitan Police who specialises in providing risk assessment information for children’s services in able to ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable children who are subject to professional service’s intervention.
Chris not only works with protecting and working with our community’s most vulnerable children and providing them with a safe place where they can get the best professional help they need, but he also runs the Feltham Community Amateur Boxing Club where he helps to provide children with a free or subsidised sessions that teach children to use their energy and use any built-up aggression in a constructive and controlled manner.
Issy Haigh
Issy Haigh is a former GB Acrobatic Medalist who has competed and won medals in the World games, European Games and is a three times British champion. Issy has also worked as a coach for children who are keen to learn gymnastics and be part of the gymnastics community.
Sharing the same values as Little Lives UK, we are immensely proud to be working with Issy as one our esteemed ambassadors.
Issy’s work with children has inspired them to continue taking part and competing in gymnastics, helping them make friends, keep fit and learn new skills that one day could take them to a competitive level.
David Hill
GB Swimmer and Triathlon Athlete
David currently coaches swimming in Devon for a local club which teaches children the skills they need, how to be safe in the water, and gives the children an opportunity to make new friends, be part of a community and stay healthy.
Ben Pearson
Retired Police Officer / Mental Health Ambassador
Ex – Police Interceptor and founder of the 1965 PTSD Awareness charity
Ben Pearson is a former Police Officer who appeared on the Channel 5 show Police Interceptors for three series before his retirement in 2020. Ben is a highly valued member of our team with his mental health experiences of his own that he has spoken so openly about to make sure he is able to help others any way he can. On top of this Ben also runs his own 1965 PTSD Awareness Charity in which he helps out when he can.
Ben’s charity work and work towards improving mental health in recent times has really stood out to us and we are very proud to have him as one of our ambassadors.
Abbie Brown
Professional Rugby Player, England 7’s Captain and Two Time Olympian
Abbie Brown is a professional rugby player. She has represented England in Rugby 7s and 15s and was even picked to be Captain of the England 7s team at age 20! Abbie has played internationally and competed at two Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games along with the World Cup and World Sevens Series. Abbie is truly a remarkable and inspirational athlete.
Abbie’s values align well with Little Lives UK. Through her amazing career, previous charitable work and the determination, passion and positive attitude she possesses, we are immensely proud to call Abbie our ambassador.
Asha Patel
Finance
Asha has always been passionate about supporting children and young people both professionally and personally. She has worked on the trading floor in London for 15 years. She mentors individuals in the city and actively participates in work experience opportunities with young people. She is passionate about exercise and wellbeing and has two young daughters. Her family regular support various children’s and health related charities through event organisation and participation. Asha’s most memorable events include her first sky dive and taking part in a 24 hour kickathon.
Recently Asha was inspired by a young lady called Rhea Talwar who creates artwork for card designs. Asha supports the family in promoting and selling these prints through sharing Rhea’s inspiring cause.
