What types of gifts can you leave in your will?

You can choose any gift or any amount to be left. Even the smallest amount can make a big difference to a child’s life. There are three types of gifts:

  • Pecuniary legacies – A specific sum of money.
  • Residual legacies – A portion or the entirety of what remains of your estate after other gifts and expenses have been settled.
  • Charitable Gifts – Donations left to charities or causes that are important to you, often as a way to leave a lasting legacy.

How your gift will benefit children

Mental health support

Our Someone to Talk To project provides essential mental health services to children in need. We fund free therapy sessions for children struggling with their mental health and can’t wait on the long NHS waiting list or afford private healthcare.

Investing in the mental health of children and young people is crucial, as half of all adult mental illnesses begin before the age of 14, and 75% of lifetime mental health disorders first emerge before the age of 18.

By establishing strong mental health foundations and coping mechanisms in children and young people, we can significantly enhance their wellbeing. It’s essential that we prioritise our children’s mental health today.

Technology support

Our Technology Programme ensures that children have the access to the technology they need. We collect unwanted electronical devices from the public and donate them to schools and organisations across the country.

We recognise the importance of technology in children’s lives, not only for their education but also for connecting with friends and developing essential skills that can enhance their future career prospects.

Our programme helps bridge the gap for those who may not have access to devices, ensuring that every child has equal opportunities.

Meadowcroft Primary school, London

I approached Little Lives UK as I work at a small primary school in greater London with very limited information technology resources. Little Lives UK incredibly kindly gifted us 15 iPads. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity. This will enable us to teach our children to become digitally literate. It will also help our pupils with SEN needs to communicate and access learning in different ways. Rebeca has been fantastic and we are so appreciative. Thank you, Little Lives UK!
