Working with the Sylvia Beaufoy Centre
The Sylvia Beaufoy Centre in Petworth is a youth centre that gives the opportunity for children of the area to have a place to learn new skills, socialise and escape the sense of isolation that can often be felt by young people who live in the countryside.ย Even though Petworth has been described as one of the most desirable places to live, the transport links for young people are sporadic, which means it is hard for them to visit the bigger towns nearby.
Little Lives UK is 5 years old today! Help us celebrate.
Without your support we would not have been able to donate so much to the organisations that directly benefit the lives of children around the UK. We would not have been able to provide free counselling for children who are in need of mental health coaching. And, we would not have been able to donate so many pieces of technology to children who need it for their education.
Celebrating 25 Years of World Book Day
In the UK alone, nearly 400,000 children donโt have access to books or a book of their own. Reading is so vital for the development of childrenโs creativity and development of their literacy skills. ย Through the National Literacy Trust, 54 thousand books have been donated by publishers to children who are least likely to have read books. 1 in 5 children receiving free school meals said they bought their first book with a World Book Day token.
ยฃ140 Million Worth of Clothing Dumped in UK Landfills Each Year
According to Wrap.org.uk, in the UK each year there is an estimated ยฃ140 million worth of clothing dumped in landfills each year. A lot of the time these clothes would be easily reused but because of cheap clothing and our throw-away culture, we see our landfills filling up and thousands of tonnes of clothing and textiles which could have been reused or repurposed.

We have gone in 2022 with the aim to support as many children around the UK as possible. And so far, we have managed to support five incredible childrenโs organisations that are carrying out vital work in the community through our Childrenโs Community Support programme.

Building a Sensory Room at Branksome Community Centre
Christmas is the busiest time of year for childrenโs charities and is the time of year where the hard work can really be seen clearer and see the impact the year-round dedication has on children in need. From present donations to building help, art movements to fundraising events, the Christmas period is always frenzied for which we are glad for.
