The Coronavirus pandemic has presented enormous challenges to hundreds of organisations over the past year. Many children’s groups are struggling financially due to both closures and social distancing. Therefore, Little Lives UK’s fundamental aim of 2021 is to ensure we are doing everything we can to support the important work these organisations do in helping provide opportunities and support to children across London. Hence, we have launched our Children’s Community Support Programme which will certify that our support is going to the best possible groups. If your children’s group or organisation needs a boost of support or help to fund an innovative new project, Little Lives UK ‘s Children’s Community Support Program may be able to help.
About our Children’s Community Support Programme
Since we are a London based charity, the programme will only apply for organisations that are based in London. The Children’s Community Support Programme is solely targeted to organisations that work with children, such as play groups or sports classes. We are willing to receive applications regarding other projects, so long as the primary focus always remains in supporting or offering services to children. Primarily we aim to work with established groups, although we are open to considering applications for start-up projects.
Both charities and companies can apply for the support, however for businesses that enquire about the programme, the money must only be used for charitable purposes. Unfortunately, we cannot support individuals with this project. We are looking to fund a wide range of activities that provide exciting opportunities to children. The donation we make can be used for a range of purposes, whether this be funding staff, to access much needed equipment or to simply keep the activity going. Confirmation on how the money we provide will be utilised is required when applying for the programme.
We can offer up to £1,500 to successful applicants of the programme, which is the maximum amount that can be provided. Furthermore, Little Lives UK will aid all the organisations we accept through publicising the work they do on both our social media channels and our website. We are additionally very open to working with these groups on potential online fundraisers to raise any potential extra contributions that could make a huge difference.
Deadlines
Keep a close eye on the deadline on our Children’s Community Support Programme page. The applications we receive will be reviewed monthly, with each deadline being on the final working day of the month. The decision on whom we will support will be made at the start of the next month.
Our ethos has and always will be to help London’s children. We want 2021 to be a much better year for them and for the organisations or groups that work with them. We sincerely hope that our programme will make sure that these vital activities that children can access are not forced to close and can continue to regularly be enjoyed by the children who attend.
