As the impact of Covid-19 continues to disrupt many daily aspects of life, the Little Lives UK charity continues to help many young people who are being affected. There are a number of primary schools in London that have been affected, which is why we as a charity want to make sure that underprivileged children’s education does not get negatively impacted by Covid-19.
Our donation
As part of one of our previous campaigns, we received a number of donations in the form of tablets, laptops and iPads so that we could help children receive technological devices that would aid them with their education. After hearing about how Queen’s Park were struggling to obtain the resources that they wanted to help the children, the Little Lives UK charity offered to help. We were able to donate them 20 tablets and iPads for the children to use and enjoy.
What it means to Queen’s Park primary school
Queen’s Park primary school sought to organise a new school project about how their children have dealt with the impact of the virus. They wanted the children to use the devices to help talk about what they did to help them through lockdown. The devices would also be used to further help with the children’s education.
However, a lot of the pupils did not have access to any IT equipment, meaning the school needed help in acquiring the necessary equipment for this project. Thankfully, through our donation, the school can now run this project and the children have access to these devices which will help with their learning and education. Helping support beneficial projects for disadvantaged children such as this from Queen’s Park is what Little Lives UK always aims to achieve. We always feel so honoured when we hear about how grateful the children are, and about how our donation will help make a positive difference for them.
Future projects
We hope to continue helping primary school’s such as Queen’s Park with more donations. As stated, our aim is to help as many underprivileged children in London as we can. We have more devices that were donated to us that we hope to put to good use in the near future. A big thank you must go to Queen’s Park primary school for getting in touch, we were delighted to be in a position where we could help and work with them.
