We are kicking off 2022 with a donation to Basildon Parents4Parents of £1,328 for their Conn-x club. This being our first donation we are proud to be supporting such a great cause that does so much good work for children of the area who have ASD/ADHD or other communication difficulties in the local area.
We are supporting charities around the UK again this year with our Children’s Community Support campaign. We donate up £1,500 to charities that benefit the lives of children across the UK.
The Conn-x club gives a safe space for children to express themselves, try new things at a natural pace and a place where they can be themselves and improve on their self-esteem in a way that makes them feel comfortable.
The children that will use this club often find it difficult to fit in with mainstream schooling and are often left out as they are seen as different, so the feeling of exclusion worsens their social self-esteem. With clubs like the one run by Basildon Parents4Parents, children have the space and opportunity to be themselves whilst learning new things. Space to call their own and be their selves.
The club also offers a place where parents can learn to interact with their children in a more effective manner that will help to build a positive relationship and further both the parent’s and child’s progress.
Communication and coping techniques are taught to both the parents and children so that a positive environment is created in the hope of bettering their social skills.
Little Lives UK is taking this opportunity at the beginning of 2022 to start as we mean to go on, supporting charities across the UK of all sizes and who are directly benefitting children.
