Last year has been both a successful and challenging year for us at Little Lives UK. We have greatly expanded the area we now support children, from just in London to the whole of the UK. We have also started working with some great new partners and charities to be able to help the greatest number of children as possible.
In November we started to work with The Listening Ear in Bournemouth who now provide free counselling sessions to children of the BCP area who otherwise wouldn’t be able to access this service. We are supporting them through our campaign ‘Someone To Talk To’, our way of providing counselling sessions to children who need a professional to talk to about their mental health.
We have supported numerous charities and services throughout the year with our ‘Children’s Community Support’ by donating up to £1,500 to support their causes that directly benefit the lives of children. From theatre groups to sports teams, therapy groups to gift donation charities. Little Lives UK has been proud to support these incredible causes.
At the beginning of the year we were only supporting those in London who needed the help but since moving our head office to Poole in Dorset, we are now in the position to support children across the whole of the UK, making this one of our most successful years!
During 2021 ‘Our Technology Programme’ has also seen hundreds of children within schools and conurbations in the UK supplied with the right technology to carry out their schoolwork unhindered by the pandemic. As we all know the number of children who fell behind during the pandemic because of the lack of technology was appalling and ever growing. By donating computers, laptops and tablets, children could get the chance to keep up with their classmates outside of school.
Moving into 2022, we are planning numerous fundraising events, furthering our partnerships across the UK and increasing the number of amazing people we work with and support.
We would like to thank all of our supporters, partners and donators for all of your hard work this year and we look forward to working with you again soon!
