Hectic April
It has been a while since you last heard from the Little Lives team. April was fairly hectic for the team with lots of campaigns and visits taking place. We are very proud to have been able to assist the Wandsworth Contact Centre with lots of equipment and toys that will benefit the young people who attend. We were welcomed by the staff and were overwhelmed by how grateful they all were.Â
During April, Little Lives were also able to help a teenager who had recently lost his sight and was still adjusting to the impact on both him and his family, please do check our Campaign page for full details. In April, we were able to help the South Mitcham Community Centre by providing internet access in two additional rooms and also funding a dance class during the Easter holidays.Â
We were very grateful for the support of 61 Aldwych, who donated Easter Eggs, which we presented to the St Georges Hospital Charity to be distributed to children staying in the hospital over the Easter Weekend. Due to the ongoing support of the London community we also completed two additional campaigns, we were able to provide items to the St Georges Paediatrics Intensive Care Unit to enable them to run a weekly tea/coffee morning for the families of the children staying in the unit.Â
Our final April campaign was providing furniture to a grandmother who is taking care of her 2 year old grandson due to his parents being unable to do so. We would like to thank you all for your continued support, without it we would not be able to complete the work that we do!Â
